Crafting has taken a back seat this month.

I've not posted for over a month, been busy busy busy with my second (or first if i'm honest) love of the MMORPG World of Warcraft. The guild I'm a proud member of is setting up a core raiding team that I am a part of so I'm being required to raid 3 nights a week at the moment.
Raiding is pretty much where 25 of us, all behind or computers in our own homes all play together to achieve the same goal. Our goal at the moment is to kill the dragon boss Malygos, we had him on 2% last night, our best attempt yet!
I've joined a couple of yahoo groups in the last few days, both related to crafting so hopefully I will have a little more to share with you in the coming months.

Cyber Crop

Its the weekend of the Who Dunnit Cyber crop on UKScrappers and its been great fun so far. I was a bit dubious about joining at first but I'm glad I did. Its given my chance to experiment with some things I haven't tried before such as water colour paint.

I Really like this picture of my friend Nancy and I'm pleased with how the Layout has turned out.
Wayne was an Angel tonight and moved the front room about so I've got more room for my craft. All my stash is in one place now and I might just scrap all night lol.

Blog Candy

Paula over at Pollycraft is giving away a set of her wonderful stamps, I have fallen head over heels in love with these and I can imagine them on all sorts of different cards and scrap pages. Here is the link, take a look Pollycraft.

So far I've taken finger prints, Made a layout using them, made a tag, A bag and something with eyelets.

Scrapbook me happy!

I've been busy on the scrapbook front lately and i'm pleased with the results. The robo is my new best friend for cutting titles and doing print and cut. I've decided I need a new camera though, my pictures could be alot better!!

Nearly Xmas!

I think I've made enough cards, I'll soon find out when I write them tonight. I did have a lot more but my mum paid a visit and took about 20 home with her to show off to the neighbours lol.

I don't mind really, it just gave me an excuse to make lots more!

We've been busy these last few weeks with hospital visits and getting every ones gifts for Xmas, why are men so hard to buy for?!?! I'm starting to panic a bit now as we really cant think of what to buy Tara for Xmas either, its gonna be a cheap one this year, no one needs anything lol.

UKS Challenge

I've been getting really into doing challenges and competitions recently, the latest card I've made has a spring theme, it made a nice change from xmas ones. It had to contain something that had been in your stash for a long time, have one element cut on the craftrobo and have something to do with spring!

I designed the backing paper and ribbon in psp, i'm really pleased with the way its turned out.

Happy Birthday Tara!

I cant get my head around the fact that my baby is 10 today! Where does the time go? She was happy with her cards and money this morning, she cant wait to spend it on more crafty stash. She was talking about getting a craftrobo until I told her it was a little out of her price range lol. She is gonna have more stash than me in a moment!

Wayne cracked on and made Tara a lovely Birthday card last night with a little help from me with the robo cut bits. I'm really pround of him. Looks like the whole of my little family have got the craft bug!

I hate wrapping!

Panic Time! Its Tara's 10th Birthday on the 14th of this month and I was starting to worry that We've not wrapped her pressies up yet, well now I really do need to worry because we have decided to give them to her tomorrow instead!!!! Our reason is that her best friend will be here tomorrow and shes not seen her for a year and also she will have the whole weekend to play with her goodies. We have bought her all craft items as this is the only thing she really likes (wonder who she gets that off) I'm still Jealous because she has got an embossing board and I want one! lol

I've been having a bit of a low for the past couple of days so not really had the chance to get much crafting done, I have made a start on Waynes xmas card but I cant show you because he has a nose at my blog from time to time!

I have managed one scrapbook layout and a few xmas cards over the last week or so but i'm soooo fed up with xmas already that I dont really like any of them!

I'm Poorly!

Well I've got a cold and I'm feeling sorry for myself! Wayne is feeling a little better now so he's been looking after me.

I've managed to get a few cards done, I got a new carrier sheet for the Robo, its not a graphtec one its a cheapy from eBay and it works 100% better, its cutting like a dream!

I've even mastered print and cut, it kinda feels like cheating though so I'm not sure on that one yet. Anyway, a few new cards....

Not going my way!

Today has not been a very good day all round. Wayne has been in bed all day poorly and I have been stressing with the Craftrobo. I cant seem to get it to cut how I want it to cut, If its not coming out looking like the cats had it its cutting in the wrong place. The carrier sheet needs replacing badly, I'm not impressed by the life span of them in the slightest. I'm hoping that when the new ones arrive I'll be able to get back to loving my Robo. I'm starting to worry that I might be solely responsible for the destruction of the rain forest, I'm getting through stacks of card and paper trying to get it to cut. I've decided now that I wont attempt anymore cuts until the new carrier sheets arrive and if that fails I'll buy a new blade and if that fails, its going back to where it came from!

Crafting crash!

I'm having one of my wonderful attacks of insomnia,I'm not in the slightest bit tired. What is most annoying about this is that I've got nothing to do! I have made 3 cards already today none of them I liked! It just seems everything I make at the moment looks like its been thrown together by a 5 year old in a hurry to get out and play! I might have a little play with my forever friends stamps again tomorrow and get some more christmas cards done.

I've been sat up tonight reading everyones blogs, I love seeing all the great cards people are making. The main theme at the moment seems to be the Tilda stamps, they look really great with all the big flowers that seem to be about everywhere.

Tara's Birthday Card

Well its Tara's Birthday in a couple of weeks and I've been looking for inspiration for her card for months now, Its deff proved to be the hardest card I've ever made, I guess its because I want it to be perfect. Well I decided on fashion for a theme and made this last night

The writing on it is done in pink foils using magic-motifs but it was really hard to photograph.

I'm not happy with it at all, I think it looks like a 3 year old threw it together lol

I think I'll try another one once this bloody headache shifts!

Any advice would be gratefully received!

Lazy sunday.

Why do weekends fly by so fast? infact, why does time in general go so fast lately?

Today I spent most of my time at my mothers being told that the oven was on the wrong setting or other general things that mum forgets that at nearly 30 years of age I could probably figure out for myself. She did say my latest cards were good tho so thats something. Only had the chance to make one card today. I downloaded an adorable dress gsd and couldn't wait to make it. I also quite randomly made a box in the shape of a pumpkin with the aid of Tara, i'm quite into all the halloween stuff at the moment, Halloween is a good excuse to scrapbook (and steal Tara's sweets).

The Robo

Well the craftrobo arrived yesterday and I pretty much spent all day cutting out random shapes that I'll probably never use just because I can !


I did make a lovely card from the designer Sue Nicholson http://www.suenicholson.com/. I'm really pleased with the way it turned out. I even had a bash at making my own gsd files and managed a lattice get well card inspired by the newbie software class on UK scrappers. I would advise anyone who has a Robo to check out the forums on UK scrappers, full of great tutorials and helpful people.


Today I think i'll have a play with Robomaster again and see what I can come up with.

This is an exploding pyramid type card for my friends birthday, her Birthday was ages ago but I still haven't seen her. Really must arrange a night out.

I've gone and done it!!!!

I've gone and ordered my craftrobo! My Darling Boyfriend is buying it for me for christmas but has decided that I'll get most use out of it if I have it early, who am I to argue? lol I can't wait to get it and have a play. I've been lookingt at all the great templates and doing loads of reading about it, fingers crossed that I'll be able to find my way around it.

I've been busy over the last couple of days with Taking Tara to have her xrays and stuff but I've managed to get a few more christmas cards made. I've got a get well soon card to do tonight, never done one before so I think i'll go insperation hunting after I pick Tara up from Cubs in a minute.
