I thought I'd be clever last night while I was doing the weekly challenge on UKS. I needed a few Autumn coloured buttons and didn't have many so thought I would have a go at making them out of Fimo. They Were lovely, all marbled and swirly, but you are just going to have to take my word for that because...I burnt them while yapping on Facebook! I will try again tonight.
I'm always in a rush to get the cards done every Christmas but I'm pleased to say that this year I got in early and now they are all done. Much more enjoyable than rushing. I'm still busy with the wedding album and am trying to keep away from the usual wedding feel so have been using lots of different colours for my layouts. This layout is of my finishing touches.
I've been busy over the last few weeks starting on my wedding album and finishing off the Xmas cards. While I'm off work for a couple of days poorly and I cant do much of anything that involves moving about I thought I would post some of my layouts. This one is a really basic page. I wanted to challenge myself to use some colours I wouldn't normally use and these papers fit the bill perfectly. The title is cut on the Craft Robo and coated with glossy accents. I'm pleased with the title although I can't say I'm keen on the rest of the layout. I used the sewing machine around the edges of this one. I really need to practice my sewing! Another really simple layout. I think I will try something that is a bit more involved next week. I did manage another couple of layouts that I am really pleased with. The one below is of Tara after she had her hair done for the wedding. I'm far more comfortable scrapping girly pinks :-) The layout is my take on a sketch on http://sketchythursdays.blogspot.com/.
This next layout has got to be my favourite layout to date. I cut the flowers from felt, an old pair of jeans and an old skirt that was heading for the bin.
I'm a 31 Year old woman living in the south west of England near Plymouth. I've been making cards for about 3 years now and It takes up pretty much all my spare time. I have a lovely boyfriend whos forever helping me out with my cards by offering advice of buying me crafty bits and pieces. My 11 year old daughter Tara is also a keen card maker and would raid my stash everyday if I'd let her, hense why we have bought her her very own "grown up" card making kit for her birthday. I look forward to sharing some of her makes with you.
