Whoops!

I thought I'd be clever last night while I was doing the weekly challenge on UKS. I needed a few Autumn coloured buttons and didn't have many so thought I would have a go at making them out of Fimo. They Were lovely, all marbled and swirly, but you are just going to have to take my word for that because...I burnt them while yapping on Facebook!
I will try again tonight.

Finished the Xmas Cards.

I'm always in a rush to get the cards done every Christmas but I'm pleased to say that this year I got in early and now they are all done. Much more enjoyable than rushing.
I'm still busy with the wedding album and am trying to keep away from the usual wedding feel so have been using lots of different colours for my layouts.
This layout is of my finishing touches.

The wedding album

I've been busy over the last few weeks starting on my wedding album and finishing off the Xmas cards.
While I'm off work for a couple of days poorly and I cant do much of anything that involves moving about I thought I would post some of my layouts.
This one is a really basic page. I wanted to challenge myself to use some colours I wouldn't normally use and these papers fit the bill perfectly. The title is cut on the Craft Robo and coated with glossy accents. I'm pleased with the title although I can't say I'm keen on the rest of the layout.

I used the sewing machine around the edges of this one. I really need to practice my sewing!
Another really simple layout. I think I will try something that is a bit more involved next week.
I did manage another couple of layouts that I am really pleased with. The one below is of Tara after she had her hair done for the wedding. I'm far more comfortable scrapping girly pinks :-)
The layout is my take on a sketch on http://sketchythursdays.blogspot.com/.

This next layout has got to be my favourite layout to date. I cut the flowers from felt, an old pair of jeans and an old skirt that was heading for the bin.

Little crafter

Tara has been busy crafting with her new stash. She made this lovely little card for her best school friend's 12th Birthday using the Daisy and Dandelion range. I thought it came out fab! Well done Tara xx
I've been cracking on with my best friends wedding album. I'm still waiting for some more pictures to complete it but here is a sneak peek. The album is 8x8 and I'm struggling with it a little bit after being so used to 12x12.
I've been dying to try the distressed look for a while now and was really pleased with how it turned out on the page.

Challenge!

I love finding a sketch that really inspires me and that is exactly what this sketch by agirlcalledbob over on UKSCRAPPERS did.
I've had these pictures from Halloween 2009 laying about waiting for the right layout and this is it! I didn't want to use the usual dark Halloween colours so there is a bit of everything in the layout. I also got chance to spray mica mist everywhere lol

Wedding Card.

I'm really pleased with this card that I made for My best friends wedding.
The only thing that I would change is the peel of on the front, it kind of looks like its been on the beer. In my defence it was cut with the robo and was really fiddly. I think next time I will cut it in sections to make it easier to stick.

The pop up on the inside of the card was cut from a design at extreme cards and paper crafts and made up to look a little like her wedding cake.

A married lady.

Me Arriving, looking nervous!
Not bad for a £35 including alterations dress lol

On 7th August at 2pm I married my wonderful other half, Wayne. After many nerves and sleepless nights we got Married in a small service in front of 40 of our best friends and family. Here are a few pictures of our big day that friends took.

Dannie (My best friend, she gave me away) and I.
I did my own flowers using this vid as a guide .
My hair was done as a wedding gift from my lovely friend Sharon and Dannie did my makeup and nails.

Tara looking so beautiful it made me cry.
She read a speech that she had written herself about myself and my partner, that made EVERYONE (even the men) cry

A Shot of my perfect little family (and Dannie lol).

The cake from Warrens decorated by myself and my Cousin Nicky.

Cutting the cake :-)

Hen Night!

My Hen night last weekend proved to be a night I'll never forget :-) Lots of drinking and dancing, getting handcuffed to a Gothic bloke and great company!!
We started out with a nice meal with lots and lots of vodka shots. Dannie bought me a bag of goodies including a whip and a pink shot glass to wear round my neck lol. We moved on to a club and danced our little socks off. I had a nice surprise when an old friend and some family turned up half way through the evening and we partied until 5.30 the next morning!!
All I can say to everyone that didn't come.... You missed out!

The Meadow

I can't sleep tonight due to having restless legs so in between chatting to Dannie on MSN and catching up with Vampire Diaries I've made a Digital Layout.
Digital Scrap booking is still not my strong point and the layout is pretty naff but I had fun with it. I'm loving the handwriting font, its my own handwriting, how cool is that?!
I cant find the site I used but doing a quick Google search brought up lots of sites that offer the service.

I'm Getting MARRIED!!!

WOW! Lots has been going on since my last post, I'm working at a Primary school now as a Dinner lady and a teaching assistant plus I've do an hour at after school club too, I love it and have just applied for extra hours so fingers crossed....My BIG piece of news is that I'm getting married!!!Wayne got down on one knees in the snow and of course I said yes. I'm a very Happy bunny :-)

I've only managed one layout since we've moved, a Twilight themed one to show my love for all things vampire. I'm in the middle of another twilight one at the mo but I've been poorly and now Tara has it too so not had much chance to craft.

Dannie's Wedding invites are all sent out now so I think its safe to post pics. The card base is peal, the heart if fimo with glitter mixed into it and the white card is embossed using my beloved cuttlebug folder. The wire and beading was more fiddly than I would have liked but I'm really pleased with how they have turned out.
